Great writing is awesome but, as a business, you need someone who can see the bigger picture – and my background in PR and marketing sits behind everything I do.

So that means that there are plenty of other things I can help you with, too – bonus!

Brand

The nuance in a font, the message suggested by a colour, the tone in your text – the power of branding is sometimes misunderstood, and often underestimated.

To be fair, it can be complex, especially if you’re unsure as to how all the pieces of the puzzle come together. As a brand fanatic, I can tell you if your brand is saying what you think it is.

  • Brand analysis and recommendations
  • Advice on brand consistency across multiple platforms
  • Production of basic style guides/brand guidelines

Content

One of the things that I’ve learned over the years is that, as a comms professional, it’s not enough just to be great at PR or marketing. If you don’t have a great design eye and a flair for creativity, you’re probably not going to get very far.

I’m always thinking of the visuals, the picture I’m helping to create – having spent so many years building strong new brands and safeguarding established ones, I just can’t help it!

  • Canva visuals
  • Social media content, including captions
  • Photography
  • Website user experience advice and menu mapping

PR

PR has always been a real balancing act – you have something to say, but do the press want to hear it? Plus, the rise in social media, and the evolving way we consume content, has led many to declare that PR is dead.

Traditional PR may well be (nothing comes for free these days, right?) but, depending on your industry, there’s still plenty of ways for you to get the word out.

  • Concept development for features and advice on what’s newsworthy
  • Press release writing
  • Target outlet recommendations
  • Social media and influencer outreach
  • Industry awards/competition research and application
  • Competitor research and analysis
